Rowen's Special Day

Opening theme: Samurai Heart

Opening photographs: 1) Rowen on the day he was born, laying in his nursery bed, sleeping (what a chubby baby!)

2) Rowen when he was about 3 yrs old, reading a math book. Directly following, he's sleeping on the book.

3) Rowen (5 yrs old) wearing a blue and white kimono.

4) Rowen (7 yrs old) wearing a green and beige kimono, sitting indian style with his eyes closed next to Kento.  Kento was wearing a yellow and white kimono and was sitting like Rowen.  Directly following was a picture of Kento pulling at his ear and laughing, while Rowen was pulling up his kimono sleeve with his hand in a fist.

Opening clips: 1) Rowen (12 yrs old) leaning against his bed, crying.

2) Rowen (14 yrs old) at the place where his armor was made.   His armor was floating in front of him, holding out his armor crystal.  Rowen took it.

3) Rowen when he showed up to save Ryo in the first battle with the Dynasty ever (eps. 1).

4) Rowen smiling with his armor on (from the eps. where Lady Kayura is first introduced).

        Now the special!!!!!

    Rowen and Sage were walking on the sidewalk in the city.  Sage was wearing a light yellow sweater turtleneck with a huge neck on it, with dark blue pants.  Rowen was wearing a white t-shirt with a dark blue long sleeve shirt underneath.  "Remind me again what we're doing," Rowen said, a little bored.

    "We're getting to know each other.  I've known you since spring, and I still know nothing about you."

    "You met my mom, what else do you need to know that she didn't already blab to you?"

    "I don't know."

    "Well, I don't know much about you either.  I only know the rumors I've heard in school, and rumors aren't always accurate," Rowen said.

    "Hey, I have an idea!  Why don't we get to know them instead," Sage said, motioning to two girls. 

   "Way to change the subject, Sage."

    "I'm serious.  I think we should talk to them."

    "What?!  No!  Why would I want to?"

    "Well, because we're both single, and they're two pretty girls."

    "You call those reasons!  No way am I going to talk to them.  Forget it," Rowen said.

    "Why don't you ever want to get to know anyone?"

    "Well, I just tried to get to know you.  Why don't you want me to know you?" Rowen asked.

    "Forget it!  Now, let's just talk to them!" Sage said.

    "No!  They're mean!  They don't like me!  And I don't like them."

    Sage turned around to look at them again.   They were both about 5' 7".  One was wearing a blue skirt with a white blouse and had shoulder-length black hair.  The other was wearing white pants and a green sweater.  She had brown-short hair (like Sailor Mercury's hair style).   She also had glasses.

    The girls were facing Sage and Rowen, and smiled.  Sage smiled back and then turned back to Rowen.  "Come on Rowen."

    "No!  I can't!  They're evil, they're laughing at me!" Rowen said.

    Sage turned around again and saw the girls giggling.  Then they waved at Sage and Rowen.  "Rowen, now we have to talk to them."  Sage began walking towards the girls.

    "No, I refuse to go over there!" Rowen said as he began following Sage. 

    At Mia's House:  Mia, Ryo, Kento, and Sai were rushing frantically around the house, decorating.  Sai was baking a cake.

    Back to Rowen and Sage:  They are standing in front of the girls.  Rowen was blushing a little.  The girl with the black hair said to Rowen, "Wow, you're cute."  Rowen started blushing even more.  "I'm Koku.  Who are you?" 

    "Rowen.  Okay!  It's been a pleasure but I simply must be going now!  Ta ta!  Come on Sage let's go!" Rowen elbowed Sage in the side.

    "Actually, we have plenty of time to talk with these girls, Rowen!  I'm Sage Date."

    "I'm Sage Date!" Rowen mimicked Sage with a very wimpy voice.  Sage elbowed him in the side, "Oww."

    "I'm Sam," the girl with the brown hair said.

    Rowen thought evilly to himself, "Hey, if I can't get us away from here playing fairly, I'll just have to play dirty."  Rowen said to Sam, "Sam...isn't that a boy's name.  I guess the hair-cut is to go with the name, huh."  Sage's eyes widened as Rowen talked and Sam looked mad.

    Sage tried to cover, "Oh, Rowen!  You're such a kidder!  He didn't mean to offend you, he's just not very good at making jokes."

    "Oh," Sam said, a little relieved.

    "Oh, Sage!  You're such a kidder!  Ha ha!  Of course I can make a joke, I just wasn't m-" Rowen stopped talking suddenly.  "Yo, Sage, we gotta go," Rowen said, suddenly very serious. 

    "Rowen, what now?" Sage asked, annoyed.  Rowen was looking at a group of strong looking guys out of the corner of his eye.  Sage looked in that direction.  "What?  What's wrong Rowen?"  Rowen didn't answer.  "Stop fooling around, Rowen.  So, are you two from around here?" Sage addressed the girls.

    "No, we're from Sendai," Sam answered.

    "Wow!  That's great!  Did you know that Sage has a large metal plate in his brain, which is why when he goes through metal detectors, they always go off..and that he also isn't potty trained yet..and-" Rowen was saying really fast.

    "What?!  Rowen, what's your problem?  Why are you lying and-" Rowen began to run in the opposite direction of the big guys.  "Hey!  Rowen!" Sage noticed the big guys start running after Rowen.  "Excuse me."  Sage began running behind them.  Rowen ran down an alley with the six big guys behind him.  Sage went down a different alley.  Rowen ran until there was a picket fence blocking his way.  He turned around to face the guys, looking scared.

    "Alright, kid, where is it?!" the biggest guy said (he's 6'5" and very big).

    "What do you mean?"

    Sage jumped over the fence and mostly in front of Rowen.  "Hey, Rowen, what's goin' on?" Sage asked.

    One of the guys said, "Sage, this jerk stole my little sister's bike!"

    "Rowen?" Sage said.

    "It's true," Rowen said, ashamed. 

    "You see?!  Come on punk!  Hand it over, pay for it, or prepare to see my fist up close!" the biggest guy said.

    "I don't have it, I don't have money and your fist is ugly," Rowen said.  Sage looked so surprised at that statement.  The big guy looked ready to kill Rowen.

    "Uh, listen, Johnny, can't you guys work something out?  He could get a job and pay for it in a month.  What do you say?" Sage asked.

    "Sage, I respect you and your family, so I suggest that you move out of my way," Johnny said.   Another guy walked up to Sage (this guy was 6'3" and was a little smaller than Johnny).  Without a word, he punched Sage in the stomach.  Sage bent over from the blow and fell on the ground on his side, trying to catch he breath.  It started to rain.  Johnny said, "Whatcha do that for, loser."  Johnny pushed him into a brick building, and he fell on the ground, holding his arm that hit the wall. "Sage, if you don't tell your cute sister about this, I'd really appreciate it.  Now, Roman..."  Rowen looked behind himself.

    "Who are you talking to?" Rowen said innocently.

    "Rowan?" another guy asked.

    "No!!  It's RowEN.. RowEN!!!" Rowen said.  All of the guys made fists.  "Sorry Sage, but I've gotta run!" (the A New Battle BGM begins playing) Rowen said, and then he ran right past the gang, and kept running.  He ran down the street, past a bus, through a crowd of people, and wherever he ran, the gang followed. Rowen ran into a big store.  He ran up the down escalator, through another group of people, he went down the elevator and ran out of the store.  He couldn't even see the gang behind him anymore.  He ran into a church and and moved his eyes back and forth, looking for a place to hide. 

    He heard someone say, "Rowen." He turned around slowly and saw Sage standing in the doorway of the church.  The light coming through the doorway made it hard to see that it was him.  Sage let go of the door so it shut, and showed Rowen that it was him. (It's still raining, a sun shower.)

    "Sage!  It's you!  Oh thank God!" Rowen said.

    "Well you came to the right place for that.  I didn't know you were a church going guy," Sage said, smiling.

    "I'm not.  That's you and Sai's department.  I just came in here to hide, by the way, you're dripping," Rowen said as he turned around to look at the church.  There was a puddle of water under his feet and his hair was dripping.  He flicked a water droplet that was about to fall, off his hair.

    "It's beautiful, isn't it?" Sage said.

    "Yes," Rowen said, looking at a stained glass window of Mary and Jesus.  "Sage, I'm sorry to get you involved with this bike-affair.  I was going to return it, but it got a little difficult." They both sat down at a bench.  "Sage, I'm not a bad guy.  Really.  I just had to take it."

    "Why?"

    "Well, ok.  One day during this past spring, I got a bad feeling, I felt an evil presence.  I knew I had to face it.  I tried to run to the heart of the city, where the evil was, but I wasn't fast enough.  I saw a bike laying on against a building.  I asked a girl who was close by if I could borrow it.  She said no, but I took it anyway.  Sage, I got to my destination just in time.  That was the first time I fought a demon.  That was the day that I found out that I wasn't the only Ronin Warrior.  I met the guys.  After that, the Dynasty took over the city.  Once Talpa left, I couldn't find the bike anywhere.  That's why I couldn't return it."

    "Well, Rowen, why didn't you just pay for it?"

    "I don't have enough money and my dad won't let me get a job," Rowen said.

    Sage reached into his pocket, and pulled out some money.  He said, "Rowen, here, take it.  My grandfather paid me yesterday, and it should be enough for a bike."

    Rowen stood up, "No way!  I don't accept charity, Sage."

    Sage stood up also, "Alright then, you can do all my chores for two weeks to pay it off."

    Rowen shook Sage's hand and said, "You've got a deal."

        Back at Mia's:  (It's not raining anymore.)  Mia, Sai, Ryo and Kento were all sitting in the living room when Sage walked in and shut the door.  He nodded to them and they all crowded around the door.  Rowen was outside, walking.  "Why did Sage insist on racing me home from the bus stop.  He knows I can't beat him."  Rowen walked up to the door, and as soon as he opened it, they all yelled "surprise".  He looked shocked.  They pushed him over to the table, Mia brought the cake in the room.  Rowen, still stunned, whispered to Ryo, "What's going on, is this a holiday or something."

    "Huh, you don't know?" Ryo said quietly.  Then Ryo started to laugh, "Ha, Rowen!!!  Don't you know what today is?" 

    Rowen began to blush a lot.  "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!" everyone yelled.
