3rd Changing Series Episode

Ryo's Caller

Narrator: The Ronin Warriors achieved their first almost victory against Warlady Sarah. Because of how close they came to defeating her, the plans have changed.  Sarah is in constant training, and therefore not going to attack, but it is not the end of the war.

   In the Dynasty:  Katie is sitting on a chair that is floating in the air inside the castle.  She is wearing an off the shoulder red kimono.  There is a large shadow covering an 8' tall person wearing armor.  Warlady Sarah walks in. 

    "Warlady Sarah, how is your training going," the shadow said.  The shadow moved off of his face, it was Emperor Kubi. 

    "It's going fine," Sarah said with a little annoyance.  "Is that why I was called here?"

    "No, Emperor Kubi has a new plan to tell you about," Katie said.

    "Plan?" Sarah asked.

    "Yes, I have chosen Katie to attack Ryo of the Wildfire.  Katie will lure Ryo away from the other Ronin Warriors by use of a disguise.  She will then attack and destroy him," Kubi explained.

    "But I should be the one going out to battle.  I haven't finished testing them yet!" Sarah complained.

    "You don't need to test them.  You both studied the Ronin Warriors by watching past battles on record multiple times, there's no need to test them," Emperor Kubi said.

    "But you were the one who..."

    "Warlady Sarah!   I've changed my mind!" Kubi yelled.  Katie and Sarah disappeared.   They reappeared in a Dynasty hut.  Katie was wearing her Dynasty armor.

    "Do you think that it'll work," Sarah asked.

    "Hmm?  The plan?   It's a long shot.  We're just depending on the Ronins acting very stupid.   It was Kubi's idea, well, if I fail it's his fault.  He wouldn't listen to my side of the argument," Katie said.  The screen closes up on her eyes.  "But I don't plan on going down without a fight!"

        At Mia's house at about 8 o'clock:  Sage, Sai, Rowen and Ryo are sitting on the couches wearing casual type clothing.  (Rowen, white pants,a blue & red shirt with the collar up; Sage, a white shirt, beige pants; Sai, a blue t-shirt, light blue pants; Ryo, a blue sweatshirt, light blue jeans)  The doorbell rings.

    Mia yells, "I'll get it!"  She runs into the room and runs to the door.  She takes a second to fix her hair, takes a deep breath and opens the door. 

    "Hey!  What's up Mia?" Kento asked. (Kento, orange shirt, white pants)

    "Oh, it's just you," Mia says disappointed.  "Come on in."  Mia walks out of the room.  Kento pushes the door open all the way open and stumbles in the door with a bunch of bags and his pillow. 

    "Hey!  What was that all about?" Kento asked. 

    "Oh, she's just waiting for her date to show up.  He's late," Sage said.

    "Oh, ok.  Woahhh!" Kento yelled as he almost tripped over one of his bags.

    "By the way, Kento, what are you doing here?" Ryo asked.

    "Yeah, don't you need to watch your brothers and sisters?" Rowen asked.

   "Oh, my parents got home early," Kento said.

    "That's great Kento!" Ryo said.

   "Yeah, now we don't have to worry about you being alone," Sai said, relieved.  The doorbell rang and Mia once again ran into the room, fixed her hair and answered the door.

   "Oh, you're here!  I was getting worried."   Mia gave him a long hug.  He was tall, had short red hair and big blue-green eyes.   He was wearing a suit.  Mia had her hair up in a ponytail and was wearing a knee-length dark green dress.

   "Yea, I'm sorry that I am late."

    "Mia, don't forget, your curfew is eleven," Ryo said with his arms crossed and his eyes closed.  Kento sat down on the couch with Sai.

   "Ha Ha ha!" Mia said, annoyed.

    "Oh, hi kids," her boyfriend said.  "Ready to go hon?"

    "Uh-huh," Mia said lovingly.

    "I promise I won't bring her home too late, ok boys?" he said with a smile on his face.

    "Whatever," Ryo said.  Mia and her boyfriend left.  "I HATE that guy.   He acts like he's so much older than me!  Well I'm sick of it.  He's 20 years old.  That's only one year older than Mia and 3 years older than ME.  He has NO right to call me a KID!" Ryo yelled.

    "OOOhh, sounds like someone's jealous!" Kento teased.

    "Phh, of what, there's nothing to BE jealous of," Ryo said.  

   "He didn't seem like he meant to be mean by calling us kids," Sai said.

    "Yeah, that's what he wants you to think!  I don't know why he hates me, but he does," Ryo explained.

    "Maybe he knows that you went on a date with Mia, you think?" Sage asked. 

   "You call THAT a date!  HA!  All she did was listen to the crazy people at the table next to ours!" Ryo said. 

    You see a memory flash of a restaurant.  Ryo and Mia are at one table and there were four people at the one next to it.  A TALL blonde girl with light bluish-purplish eyes, a brunette girl, a TALL guy with slicked black hair, and a short muscley guy with dark blue hair slicked back.  

           "Uh, Sag- uh I mean, Serena," the tall guy said, slipping back and forth from a Brooklyn accent to an Italian accent.

           "Yes, Ro- Sal?" the blonde said in a very girly voice.

            "Would you care to dance?"

            "No!  I just want to eat my DINNER!" Serena said.  The blonde leaned over the table and        whispered something in a much lower voice angrily. 

            "That poor guy, his date has been yelling at him all night," Mia said.  

            "Hey, S---Sweetie?" the short guy said.

           "Yes, Akira?" the brunette said in a high pitched vioce with an Australian accent.

            "Are you having a good time?"

            "Shhh!  Ryo and Mia are finally talking, I don't want to miss anything," the brunette said in Sai's voice.

   "Yeah, they were crazy.  Uhh, from what you've told us before.  Yea!" Kento said.  Everyone's face except for Ryo's turned bright red.

    Sage put his hand on Ryo's shoulder. "Don't worry Ryo, dating isn't everything and you'll find someone, when the time's right," Sage said sympathetically. 

    "Sage, you have NO idea how stupid that sounds coming from you!" Ryo said, then he started laughing. 

   "Yeah, the King of DATING!" Sai said and everyone started laughing. 

    "So, how many girlfriends are you up to now!  Huh Sage?!" Rowen said between laughs.

    Sage throws Kento's pillow at Rowen.  "Ha ha ha!" Sage said sarcastically.

   "No, but seriously, even if I did find someone, she would probably like Sage anyway," Ryo said.  Everyone looked sympathetically at Ryo except for Sage who had a confused look on his face.

    "What?  Why do you think that she would probably like me?"  After a second all of the other guys burst out in laughter. 

   "Oh Sage, you had me there for a minute!" Sai said while laughing. 

   "Yeah, you couldn't be THAT thick!" Kento said between laughs.  Then Kento, Sai and Ryo walked upstairs. 

    Sage still looked confused. "What-?"

    "Oh, never mind Sage.  Just forget it," Rowen said.  Then the doorbell rang. 

    Kento ran downstairs, "I'll get it!" Kento opened the door.  "Oh!  Um, I'll get Sage," Kento said.

    Just her eyes are shown on the screen.  "Um, I'm not here to see Sage.  I'm here to see Ryo Sanada.  He is here, isn't he?"

    "Um yeah.  Hang on."  Kento turned around, Sai was coming down the stairs and Ryo was behind him. 

   "Who is it?" Sai asked. 

    "Um, a girl for Ryo," Kento said. 

    "Huh?   For me?"  Ryo walked to the door and opened it all of the way.  Sage and Rowen immediately stood up.  Sai walked over toward the other guys to get a better view. 

    A tall girl with blonde hair down to her waist and big blue eyes was standing in the doorway.  She had her hair half up in a big ribbon.  She was wearing a short pink skirt, a white tank top and pink mini-platform shoes.  Sai, Kento, Sage and Rowen stood behind Ryo, looking shocked.   Ryo stood there for a second.  Then he said (squeaking a little more than usual), "Umm, can I help you?"

    "Yes, um, well I heard that you're really good at history, so I was wondering if you could help me with a project."

    "Uh, ok.  What kind of project are you doing?" Ryo asked as he went outside with the girl and shut the door behind him.

    "Well that was weird," Kento said.

    "Yeah, I agree," Sai said.

    "So Sage, surprised that she wasn't here to see you?" Rowen asked, teasingly.

    "Actually, NO.  Why would I be?"

    "OH, come ON man!  Only because your the most popular guy in school!" Kento said.

    "Oh, you jealous Kento?" Rowen teased.

    "No, why would I want to be that popular!  I mean, it's just crazy how popular SAGE is."

    "Yeah, I agree," Rowen said, teasing.  Rowen, Sai and Kento started to laugh. 

    Sage thought to himself, "Something isn't quite right.  Who was that girl?"

    Ryo and the girl are walking through the woods on a pathway. 

    "...and then, they dropped the atomic bomb on Nagasaki," Ryo said. 

    "Umm, that's very interesting, but I have a confession to make.  I don't care about your history, just the Dynasty's!" 

    "What?!"

    "Huhhht!"  She jumped in the air and did a back flip and when she landed, she was wearing Dynasty armor.  She stayed floating about six inches from the ground.  

    "My name is Empress Katie, I am the Empress of the Evil Dynasty.  And you are Ryo of the Wildfire, aren't you!"

    "Oh, very observant!  I'm warning you, I show no mercy!"   Ryo jumped in the air and put his first armor on.  "ARMOR OF WILDFIRE!  TOU JIN!"   Ryo put on his full armor and took out his swords. 

    "Why don't you make the first move, hmm?" Katie said while taking out her two swords.  Suddenly, her swords were surrounded by blue flames.  

    "Huh?  Her power is fire, that shouldn't hurt me too bad, my armor gets stronger from fire," Ryo thought. 

    "What are you waiting for?!"   Katie jumped at him and her swords slammed into his.  They held them there for a minute. 

    "So, what's the Dynasty want with this world?" Ryo asked.

    "We want to conquer it, to prove our strength!"

    "What?!" Ryo asked, very confused and angry.

   "Talpa made fools out of us by losing TWICE!  We won't be humiliated again!" They jumped away from each other.

    "Well, all you're going to get is more humiliation, once I'm done with you!" Ryo jumped into the air.  "FLARE UP NOW!"

   His flare up now slammed into her and caused a column up into the sky.  Katie's swords flew out of the column.   After a second, the column of energy ran out and Katie was standing where it was, untouched. 

    "That was a nice try Ryo of Wildfire," she put her hands in the air and her swords flew back to her hands, "but it wasn't good enough to save you!"  She morphed her two swords into one sword and lunged at him. 

    At Mia's house: Sai, Sage, Kento and Rowen were sitting on the sofa and Kento was flipping through the channels on the TV.  Then Kento turned off the TV and stared at Sage who appeared to be sleeping.  

   "Sage, we've got to talk," Kento said.

   "Hmm?" Sage opened his eyes and turned his head toward Kento.  "About what?" he said without much interest.

   "I was planing to ask you in school Monday, but since I'm here..." Kento took a deep breath.

    "What are you trying to get at?" Sage asked with growing interest.

    "Well, why were you yelling about your honor yesterday at my house?" You see a flash of a memory, Sage yelling my honor. 

    "Why do you care?"

    "Uhh?  Because you're my friend... and because I'm curious."

    "Well, umm, you see, I-" Sage was cut off by the sound of Ryo screaming in the distance.  "Ryo!!"

    "That doesn't sound good!" Sai said and they all ran for the door.    

    Ryo is getting up from laying on the ground.  He stands all the way up.  Katie opens her fist and a single blue flame ignites just above her palm.  She backed up a step and then blew into the flame.  It extends and slams Ryo in the face.  He's pushed back into a tree and falls onto his side.  Katie turned her back to him.

    "All right, he's finished," Katie said.  "I wonder why his friends didn't show up.  Poor guy," Katie thought with a slightly upset look on her face.  She turned back around and raised her hand in the air.  One soldier appeared, kneeling in front of Katie. "Finish him."

    "Yes Empress," the soldier said.  He raised up his weapon to cut off Ryo's head.  

    "Katie, you do it!" Ryo said painfully.  Katie raised her hand to stop the soldier.

    "What?"

    "I'd rather be finished off by you than a bystander in the fight."

    "Alright then," Katie said, raising her sword.  Katie started to bring her sword down when she stopped and started looking around. 

    You see Sage in full armor.  "THUNDER BOLT CUT!!" Katie jumped out of the way of the attack.  "You ok Ryo!?" Sage yelled, running up next to Ryo.

    You see Rowen at the opposite side as Sage, "ARROW SHOCK WAVE!!" You see in slow motion, Katie just barely dodging it.

    You see Kento and Sai at different parts of the forest as well:

   "IRON ROCK CRUSHER!!"

   "SUPER WAVE SMASHER!!"

    Katie crouches down and holds her swords out, one in back and one behind.  The two attacks hit her, but once everything clears away, she's visibly breathing and smirking.  She stands up easily and starts laughing. 

   "What is she laughing about?" Sage asked Ryo who was next to him, beginning to sit up.  Ryo was breathing HARD.  

    "You're not as smart as I thought.  You were almost too late," Empress Katie said.  The Ronins moved into fighting stance. "Alright Kubi, I'll leave, but I have to do something first," she said with her eyes closed.  She opened them and raised her swords in the air.  She started spinning really fast.  While spinning, she moved her swords down 90 degrees and blue fire made a half circle over her head and a full circle around her body. "FIERY SCREAM OF DEATH!!" The flames shot out at each of the ronins as she stopped spinning.  The fire wrapped around each of their waists and they all started to scream.  Then, Katie and the fire disappear and they all fell on the ground.

        In the Dynasty:  You see Katie appear in a Dynasty building, smirking.  Sarah appears behind her. 

    "Katie, why didn't you finish them?"

    "Kubi told me not to continue," Katie said flatly.

   "But why did you listen?"

    "Sarah, sister, there's still so much you don't understand.  He thinks that he can run the show on his own.   I'm just proving him wrong."

    "One thing, you didn't use your full strength, right?" Sarah asked with a curiously evil look in her eyes.  Katie laughed a little with her mouth closed.

    "What a silly question.  Well, I'm sure that Kubi still wants to use his own ideas, so I'd better go help him come up with a good one."

    At Mia's house: the five guys are all in their room.  Everyone but Ryo and Sage are asleep.  Ryo doesn't notice that Sage is awake.  Kento is snoring, Sai is making a whistling sound, Rowen is mumbling something about Africa and air.  Sage has his blankets pulled up to his neck and is staring at Ryo who has a small light on next to his bed.  Ryo is laying on his back, talking to himself.

    "She almost killed me, but she didn't seem like she wanted to.  Why not?  She's supposed to be evil, so why?  Oh!  It doesn't make any sense.  Finally, a girl shows some interest in me, but it was just an act!  I wish I were Sage.  He has a perfect life, nothing ever goes wrong for him, nothing!" Ryo said semi-quietly.  Sage rolled over, so he wasn't facing Ryo anymore.  "Sage.  Sage are you awake?"

    The screen closes up on Sage's face and you see that he's shaking and crying. 

Narrator: Why did Katie seem upset about defeating Ryo, and why didn't she destroy him? Furthermore, what is Sage's secret?
