Strata's Battle

Narrator:

    Kento, Sai and Ryo were leaning over Rowen, who was sleeping on his bed.  Kento was wearing his school uniform with the jacket open.   Ryo was also wearing his uniform, with the jacket closed but the collar and a few inches below it wasn't.  Sai was wearing a blue t-shirt and black boxer shorts.   Rowen was sprawled out on his bed.  He was completely covered by a light blue blanket with white clouds on it, but his feet were sticking out from under it.  Sai closed his eyes and screamed, "ROWEN!! WAKE UP!! IT'S TIME FOR SCHOO-!!!"  Before he could finish, the back of Rowen's hand hit him in the face.  Rowen rolled over. "Oww." 

    "Man!  He's never gunna wake up!" Kento said.

    Sage walked into the room.  He was wearing a white robe and was toweling his hair.  "Sai, you can use the shower now." 

    "Alright!  You're finally out!" Sai said happily as he left the room. 

    Sage walked over to Rowen, held his arms down and yelled, "ROWEN!!!!" in his ear.

    Rowen immediately sat straight up with his eyes open wide.  "What!  What?!!"

    "It's almost time for school!" Ryo said. 

    "Oh!  Thanks for finally getting me up," he said while looking at the clock. "I was HOPING to read through my trigonometry book again before class!  But thanks to someone being LAZY, I can't."

    "You mean yourself, right?" Ryo mumbled very quietly. 

    Rowen got out of bed.  "Now, I'm going to go take a shower!" Rowen said as he walked out the door. 

    "Wait! Sai-" Kento started to say. 

    You hear from outside of the guys room, Rowen scream, then Sai scream.  "Rowen!!  What are you doing in here!!  Get out get out!!"  Sage, Kento and Ryo wince.

   "What am I doing in here!  What are you doing in here?!  I need to take a shower!"

    "Well I'm sort of in the middle of one!!" Sai yelled.

    "Too bad!  Get out! I don't have time to waste on this business!"

    "No Rowen! Oww! Stop!! Ow!  I won't leave no matter how hard you push me!  Ow!  Understood!?" Then you hear a door slam and someone walking.  Sai walked into their room with a towel loosely around his waist.  He was holding it up.  He was dripping wet and he had some shampoo in his hair.  Kento burst out laughing. 

    "He kicked you out?" Ryo asked, confused.

   "And I have shampoo in my hair!" Sai said, upset.  Sage and Ryo tried to keep from laughing, but couldn't.  "It's not funny!!!"

        Later: Rowen was sitting alone in his classroom, reading a really thick book.  He makes an angry face when he hears a bunch of girls start talking loudly in the hallway.  "Here he comes!!"

    "Oh!  He's so cute!"

    "You know, he broke up with his girlfriend last week!"

    "He's single?!"

    "He just smiled at me!"

    "Quick, act natural!  Hi Sage!!"

    Sage said, "Hi, Mindy.  How are you today?"  Rowen made an even angrier face.

    The view point moves to the hallway.  Mindy had light pink little pigtails with flower barrettes.  Her eyes were teal and she was about 4 foot, 9 inches.  "Um, Sage?!  Where are you going?" she asked as Sage began walking into Rowen's classroom.  "That's not your class!" 

    "I'm going to talk to Rowen.  I'll see you in class, bye," Sage told her.  Sage walked into the classroom.

   "OHH!  Why would an awesomely popular guy like him hang out with the human computer?  He should be with the most awesomely popular girl!" Mindy said.

    "Like who?  Couldn't be you!"  Mindy turned around to see Kento standing behind her.  "You don't belong with Sage.  You belong in my arms."  Mindy looked angry.

   "Oh, just leave her alone, Kento.  All you ever do is tease her.  She won't go out with you.  I've been telling you that since she moved here," Sai said, leaning against a wall of lockers. 

    In Rowen's classroom:  (Rowen was sitting in the third seat of the row next to the window.  Sage was sitting at the desk next to him.)  Sage was sitting sideways in a desk chair and watching Rowen read.  "Do you have a staring problem?" Rowen asked.

    "Not that I know of." Then, five guys walked in and sat around Rowen.

    One of the guys took his book out of his hand.  "Hey, brain!  Where have you been for the past week?  I didn't have anyone to copy off of!" 

   "Give him his book back," Sage said, a little annoyed.  The guy looked at Sage and reluctantly handed the book to Rowen.  Rowen snatched it out of his hand and the guys left.  Once again, Rowen and Sage were the only ones in the room. 

    "Why do you always do that?!" Rowen asked Sage after slamming his book on the table.

    "Do what?"

    "Act like I can't protect myself!" Rowen said madly.

    "I just-" Sage started to say when the bell rang.

    "The bell, don't be late to your class," Rowen said dryly.  Sage stood up and reluctantly walked out.

        In the Dynasty: (inside a building with a circle inside shape, has a hole in the center of the floor.  The hole has a pool of reddish liquid in it.  Katie and Sarah were standing next to each other at the edge of it.  Five Nether spirits surrounded the pool.)  "Are you sure about this?" Sarah asked Katie.

    "Well, this made the Dark Warlords stronger, so why wouldn't it make us stronger too?" 

    "I'm still unsure."

    "Ok, I'll go first then," Katie told her confidently.  Katie knelt down and brought her finger to the liquid.  As soon as she touched it a green spark appeared at her fingertip.  "What was that?"

    Sarah was suddenly very interested in what was going on.  "I don't know, maybe you shouldn't try this.  Okay?"

    "Yeah, I have a better idea anyway.  If you attack a largely populated area, the ronins will be hesitant to fight back.  Do you remember the battle between Sage and Cale underground?  Sage hesitated because Mia and Ulie were close by.  Just imagine what it would be like with over 100 people close by!" 

    "Good idea!" Sarah said.  "Why didn't I think of that first?"

    "Because I'm your older sister, that's why."

        At Han'a High School:  Rowen walked out of a classroom carrying three books.  The view is from outside in the courtyard of the school.  Rowen was walking on the second floor.  He walked by two boys talking in the hallway.  He turned his head and looked out the window.  Sarah was sitting on top of an open door that was leading to the courtyard.  She waved to Rowen.  His eyes opened wide and he ran down the hall.   His books fell on the floor and he ran into one of the boys, and pushed by him.  "Hey!  Watch it Rowen!!"

    Rowen ran up to a classroom and stopped at the doorway.  Ryo was sitting in his seat and taking a test.  Rowen began moving around a lot, trying to get his attention.  "Ryo!" Rowen hoarsely whispered.  The teacher walked over and shut the classroom door in Rowen's face.  "Yes!  I forgot!  Sai has lunch right now!"  Rowen ran down the stairs and right afterward, Sai walked by the stairs.  A few quick clips are shown:

        Rowen at Kento's class.   Kento didn't even notice him.

        Rowen got yelled at by Sage's teacher in the hall while Sage tried to hear what was going on. 

    Rowen walked down the up-stairs hallway, next to the courtyard.  "Enough running!"  Rowen put his hands on the window to see Sarah.  "Huh?  Where'd she go.  She's gone."  He heard a noise and turned around.  Sarah was standing with her foot on a crushed can.  "What are you doing here?"

    "I thought that we would settle the score once and for all!"

    "Prepare to meet your maker, bubble brain!"  Rowen pulled his armor crystal out of his pocket, held it out in front of him and did a back flip into the air.  "Now, Strata!"  His body's outline shed his clothes and when he landed, he was wearing his undergear.  Then he called his armor, "Armor of the Strata!  Tou inochi!" 

    "That bulky armor isn't going to help you at all."

    "Just try and prove it!"  He shot an arrow at her.  She moved out of it's way and it went right through a window.  "What am I doing?  I can't fight in here," he thought.  Just then, the bell rang and people started leaving their classes.  "Oh no!!!"  He ran at Sarah, ran into her and they both smashed through the window and into the courtyard.  Rowen and Sarah were both flying in the air.  Rowen attacked and they locked weapons.  Everyone in the school was at every window, watching the fight. 

    The guy that called Rowen, brain, earlier said surprised, "Who is that guy?"

    In the principle's office:  Sage was sitting in a chair.  The principle (Ms. Tonka) said to him, "Now, Sage.  I've been looking over your record, and I'm very concerned with the number of fights you've been in.  I-"  She was interrupted by a crash sound.  "What in the world!"  She ran out of her office with Sage close behind.  A row of windows were smashed.  Ms. Tonka asked a student, "What's going on here?!"

    "There's a fight!"  Ms. Tonka turned and looked at Sage.  Sage shrugged his shoulders, bewildered.   Ms. Tonka ran toward a window.  Sage did too.  They were on the second floor.  They saw Sarah throw a fireball at Rowen.  He dodged it and it hit the ground.  Rowen and Sarah were still flying. 

(Keep in mind that during the battle, there's a lot of talking and yelling from the students.  Also, there are lots of loud bangs and the screen shakes with every one of them.)

    "Oh, no!" Sage said, worried.  "I've got to help him!" Sage thought.  Sage looked down and noticed that Mindy was clinging to his arm.

    "Sage, I'm so scared!  Protect me," Mindy said.  She looked up at him and tears were streaming down her face.  She looked like a little kid.  Sage looked torn.

   "Mindy, I....you should get out of here," he said very sympathetically.

    Meanwhile: Kento was trying to push through the crowd at the window, "Hey, what's going on!  I can't see!"  Rowen tried to punch Sarah in the face, but she ducked under him and kicked him under his chin. 

    Rowen, "Ahhh..." He hit the windows by Kento and all the students tried to move out of the way as Rowen shot through the glass and through the wall.  He went through all the way.

    "Rowen!" Kento thought.  Rowen landed in the road in front of the school. 

    He got up with difficulty.  "Ow.  Oh no!  She didn't follow me!  Just great, I'd better get back right now!"

    Sarah was floating in the courtyard, looking at her nails, when Rowen flew up, over the school and began shooting arrows at her.  She dodged them all, and all but one landed in the ground.  One went through a window and Ryo barely dodged it.  "I've got to help!" he thought.  "Come on, where's the stairs to the roof?!  There!"  Ryo ran to the stairway, ran up the the first flight of stairs, and through a door to the roof where his undergear flashed on and he called his armor (with shortcuts), "Armor of Wildfire!  Tou Jin!"

    Inside the school:  Kindergartners began flooding out of the auditorium downstairs.  Kento was going down the stairs when he caught sight of Chun Fa.  "Chun Fa!!!!" 

    "Kento!" They met in the hall.

    "Why are you here?!"

    "We had to watch a play being held here, but there's a manadory evacashun(no typo)!  Everyone has to leave now!  I'm scared."

    Sage was still watching the fight.  "Come on Rowen!  You can do it," he thought.  Rowen smashed against the building. and fell to the ground.  Ryo jumped off the roof as Sai was running up to the roof.  Ryo landed next to Rowen. 

    "It doesn't matter how many of you rebel against your futures.  Evil will prevail!!!!" Sarah yelled. She landed on the ground.

    "I'm not going to let that happen!  No matter what!!" Rowen yelled.  Sarah threw a fireball at the school. 

    Ryo ran in front of it, "Noooo!!!!"   The fireball hit him and he slammed into the school, and didn't open his eyes or move.  He just made an urgg sound.  Sai jumped off the roof and landed behind Rowen.

    "That's it, Sarah!  No more games!!  Arrow Shock WAVE!!!!!!  Chaaa!" Sarah dodged the attack by jumping into the air.  The attack rushed toward the school.  The students eyes widened.

    Rowen threw his hand forward and up.  "Fly!!!"

    The arrow changed direction and barely missed the building.  "Was that supposed to do something?" Sarah asked meanly. 

   "Why don't you stick around and find out?!" 

    "What?" Sarah asked, confused.  Suddenly, the arrow shock wave hit her in the side.  She yelled as it struck her.  Dust flew up in front of her.  When it cleared, Sarah was floating in the same position and she fell on the ground.  All the students in the building were staring out the window still. "You!   How...how... you tricked me!"  Sarah began getting up.  "That was so obvious!  You said 'fly' just like when you fought Kayura in the Dynasty.  How could I not see that!"

    "Wanna try again?!" Rowen said, ready with his bow and arrow. 

   "Sure," Sarah said, confident once more.  "What's the matter?  You look tired."  Rowen's eyes were about halfway open and you could see him breathing. "It's weird, I almost feel bad for you.  Strata, just answer me this.  Why did you want to protect the people of this school?  Especially after the way they've treated you."

    "My job as a Ronin Warrior is to protect the people of this world, no matter how they treat me," Rowen said bravely. 

    "Hmm.  So, you would do anything to protect someone from your world.  Then why do you fight me?  Huh?  I'm from this world.  So are the dark warlords.  How do you know who to fight, and who to help?"

    "I follow my conscience, something you don't have.  On guard!"  Rowen shot 5 arrows at her, one after another.  Ryo and Sai stood behind Rowen.  Rowen fell on his knees.  Ryo and Sai ran to either side of him. 

    "Are you alright?" Sai asked concerned.

    "I'm sorry about this morning, Sai," Rowen said, apologetically. 

    "That's fine.  Ryo, what do you say we take out the garbage?!"

    "I'm ready!" Ryo answered Sai. 

    "Actually, I think I'll go now.  I have no reason to stay.  I'll just get you next time," Sarah said and then she disappeared. 

        Inside the school:   Teachers and some students were pushing on the school's exits, when they finally burst open and they began rushing out.  About half stayed behind to watch their hero get up.  Ryo and Sai helped Rowen to his feet.  Rowen turned his head to look behind him and he smiled at the crowds of people.  Ryo and Sai held onto Rowen and jumped onto the roof and then jumped out of sight. 

    Narrator: The armor cause much destruction to the Ronin Warrior's world, and the Dynasty is learning how to use this and our warriors' feelings to help themselves.  Rowen has realized their great need for strategy, but will they get the chance to use it before it's too late?
